This is like my next life as a villianess

Except the female lead did not become the "villainess."

Just cheat on the guy. EZ Clap.
Or is this a shoujo adaptation, and that doesn't fly there?

Supercyzer • 10 months ago

Okay... but was the Isekai setup really necessary for the story to work?
Like couldn't it simply have been a plain old fantasy setup?

I shall watch and see...

Hasaki Rinko?? Just searching damn corners here man, truly unnecessary change for every show..

This artstyle is absolutely gorgeous! It calls back to the late 2000's to early 2010's. Everything from the watercolor looking backgrounds, to the character proportions, to the extras being either partially obscured or entirely made into silhouettes with no color. The linework alone is absolutely breathtaking! It has an extremely similar feel (artistically) to OHSHC and Maid-sama, but instead of it being due to limitations of the time, it is an active choice. I love it!

Maybe my hope of The Villainess Lives Twice getting an adaptation isn't just a pipe dream.

Kirian Ainsworth • 1 year ago

or Villainess turns the hourglass. Or Crows Prince.... god there are so many I want to see as anime

The Orlando Gray • 1 year ago

Your Throne may have mainstream appeal if adapted.

Nice

Even the dub uses Japanese names instead of the Korean ones? :( I normally never watch dub but after having read the webtoon, the Japanese names feel too strange.... I was hoping the English dub would keep the original at least..

Keine book Dieser leben • 1 year ago

you do realise that the only japanese name here is her from the previous life ? tf are you on dawg and u got a greek statue as a pfp ? embarassing man and the rest of the names are all european esque

Antatika • 11 months ago

How does the fact that the rest of the story uses a westernized fantasy setting change the fact that they changed her from being a Korean woman to a Japanese woman? It's just kinda sad to see that a Korean story has to be Japanised in order to be animated.

My profile picture is an ancient statue because I studied Ancient Greek and Latin for 6 years, which had nothing to do with the comment I posted lmao, if you're looking for random things to criticize at least make some sense. And I'm not a man either. I am European though.

Please...don't show a chess board if you're going to have black play the first move 🤦‍♂️. They did something equally silly with Classroom of the Elite. With what was shown on screen, the final move wasn't checkmate, it was a queen blunder. Please either stop putting chess in anime, or do chess right.

Kirian Ainsworth • 1 year ago

actually, if you want to be petty like that about chess rules, they are accurate. White going first was only enacted as a part of the Rules since 1927, or 1857 at the earliest for a suggestion of such a rule. so they DID do chess right, cause this is set in the mid 19th century at the latest.

Interesting. I learned something new. It seems I'm wrong. Except for the fact that she's clearly from modern times. She may be in a 19th century-ish era, but that's not the time she comes from. It's weird she'd imagine chess like that. Unless she doesn't know the game.
